A highly strategic leader, well known for his strong work ethic, discipline and entrepreneurship, Rick works as the operations director at Podium Financial Services. Overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, Rick provides expert knowledge in business development as well as guidance in establishing strong client relationships.

 

After retiring from the AFL in 2001, Rick travelled to London to learn the process and philosophy of athletes1, a sports management business. Upon his return, he launched the Australian arm of athletes1 and built the business to a position as one of the leading sports management businesses in Australia. In 2008, The Essentially Group acquired athletes1 and Rick was appointed as CEO in Australia. He was also promoted to the global management team – comprised of executives from global offices in the UK, India, Japan, NZ, Brazil and South Africa – as Global Head of Cricket.

 

Rick holds a Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment.
